On the morning of April 27, 2024, business school held an academic report meeting for high-level talents. Professor Yi Fujin of the School of Public Administration of Zhejiang University, winner of the National Talent Program, and Professor Lin Faqin, winner of the National Youth Talent Program and Professor of the School of Economics and Management of China Agricultural University, were invited to give academic reports to our institute.
With the theme of "Lies" and "Truth": Research on the Measurement and Impact of Moral Hazard Behavior in Agricultural Insurance, Professor Yi Fujin introduced how to measure the moral hazard of agricultural insurance, explored its impact on agricultural insurance, analyzed the relevant research background from the three aspects of agricultural insurance, China's policy-based agricultural insurance and farmers' moral hazard, elaborated the theoretical model and empirical analysis process, presented the empirical results, and finally gave relevant research conclusions and policy suggestions. With the title of The Evolution and Reconstruction of the International Grain Trade Pattern under the Great Changes Unseen in a Century, Professor Lin Faqin took international grain trade as the entry point, deeply discussed the impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict and Sino-US trade frictions on China's food security and food prices, and analyzed the characteristics of the new era faced by China's agricultural trade, including the problems of expanding deficit year by year, excessive import concentration, great changes in import structure, and reduction of product comparative advantages. Professor Lin Faqin also conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges with teachers and students on agricultural trade policy suggestions.
The academic report was presided over by Professor Zhang Hengjie, Vice Dean of Business School, and more than 50 teachers and students from Professor Wang Lin of the School of Management of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and some young teachers, graduate students and undergraduates of our school participated in the event.
