The marketing major of our school originated from the Department of Management Engineering established in 1983. At first, marketing courses were offered in the majors of material management and international economy and trade. In 1994, in order to meet the needs of the talent market, the marketing specialty was officially opened earlier in key universities in China. After a long period of ingenuity, at present, the marketing major of our school is characterized by studying the generation, evolution rules and brand positioning and promotion of customer needs and behaviors. The marketing major of our school focuses on practice and problem orientation to stimulate students' interest in learning and research, and focuses on training marketing talents with programming ability and data analysis ability. We offer featured courses closely following the forefront, such as big data marketing, python language, marketing research methods, and social media marketing. A marketing behavior laboratory is set up, equipped with the iView X RED desktop eye tracker eye movement and behavior observation system produced by SMI in Germany, which can not only observe and analyze people's attention and behavior, but also conduct pre launch effect tests on marketing programs, terminal layout, etc. In order to improve students' ability to apply theory to practice, we vigorously promote the construction of teaching practice bases, cooperate with many well-known listed companies such as Jinshiyuan liquor industry to carry out practical teaching activities, and hire company executives as guest professors of our department. The establishment of laboratories and practice teaching bases allows students to have more opportunities to contact with realistic marketing activities and participate in marketing scientific research during their school days.
